2020 Jordans, The Air Jordan 9 Change The World is a fitting title for the shoe. Designers Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith envisioned the Jordan 9 as the canvas to celebrate MJ’s International influence. The style is arriving as the first, women’s-exclusive AJ9. It boasts a white leather base that is offset by multicolored overlays. While the left shoe focuses on lavender and yellow accents, the remaining shoe opts for hot pink and orange. That sentiment lives on today, evidenced in this women’s exclusive model which features the phrase “Change the World” on the heel loop. The shoe also employs unique colors on both shoes using vegetable-tanned materials and natural plant-based dyes.
The Air Jordan 9 made its second appearance in 2021 with the women’s exclusive Air Jordan 9 Change The World. These playful overlays bordering the silhouette lend their appearances to innovative vegetable dyes. The colors created by the dyes are also used on the eyelets and midsole piece—specifically yellow and orange. Contrast stitches and an embroidered 23 on the heel round out the spring-ready design. Ranging from light purple and blue to orange and red, the bright array of colors is contrasted by a black tongue, laces, and heel tab with the words “Change The World” printed on each pair.
