Union x Air Jordan 4 styles to release on August 29th
2021 New Jordan, The Union LA x Air Jordan 4 Retro “Off Noir” represents the follow-up effort to the duo’s highly coveted Air Jordan 1 collaboration from 2018. Key differences between this sketch and the retail version of the Air Jordan 4 include a zebra-embossed durabuck overlay and the extension of breathable mesh across the full length of the tongue. In addition to that, perhaps the most eye-catching detail is the shoe’s cream midsole and tongue. Other details include translucent wings and box similar to the shoe with a heavy dose of cream along with Nike Air branding in red in the back.
Buy The Sneaker, The Union x Air Jordan 4 collab will include two different colorways of the model, one dressed in “Off Noir/Brigade Blue-Dark Smoke Grey-Light Fusion Red” and the other in a “Guava Ice/Light Bone-Brigade Blue-Light Fusion Red” color scheme. Opting to switch things up a bit from the usual Air Jordan 4 look, the shoe dons a mesh and nubuck construction on the upper with dark navy dominating most of the shoe and a royal blue on the ankle/heel area. An off-white/Sail midsole and outsole, a Union x Jumpman hang tag, and a special box with Union branding and Michael Jordan’s hands finish things off.
The latest teaser includes an image of designer Tinker Hatfield’s original Air Jordan 4 sketch from 1988, which is possibly indicative of the direction Union will head with its collaboration. The updated design features a black suede upper with matching black mesh on the toe box and blue mesh around the collar. The semi-translucent structural wings are attached to molded red eyelets, matching the woven Air Jordan tag atop the padded tongue and Nike Air branding on the heel.
