Air Max 270, Aside from the transcendent Air Jordan lineage, there’s no other series of sneakers with a more storied past than Nike’s Air Max. Nike knows this, and has never been afraid to celebrate its own efforts across countless commemorative collections throughout the years. Their next series, Evolution of Icons, is doing things a little differently, with each release appearing to follow a short timeline, then embracing elements for classic Air Maxes within the window. The pack’s just-previewed Air Max 90 did this from 1987 thru 1998, but this new Air Max 270 React addition pulls in a much tighter timeline; 1993 through 1995.
“Evolution of Icons” will pay tribute to past Air Max releases, and included is the Air Max 270 React. Specifically, this pair uses models and their colors from 1993-1995.this Nike Air max 720 React features colors from the OG ‘Neon’ Air Max 95, ‘Blue Lagoon’ Air Max2 Light, and the ‘Dusty Cactus’ Air Max 93. Following, 3M reflective accents run throughout while various Air Max icons adorn the insoles. Each pair comes with a special Air Max box that pays homage to the Air Max line and a retro-like card.
The Nike Air Max 270 React “Have A Good Game” takes on the dual-cushioned silhouette dips its synthetic overlays in a blue to crimson gradient. Profile swooshes boast a pixelated arrangement that partially extends itself onto the iridescent lace guards. While an overt nod to the upcoming collection’s theme is missing, tongues feature the “Have A Nike Day” logo donning a headset. “AIRMAX” text on the sockliner alternates between the two aforementioned hues, likely as a nod to one of gaming’s most traditional rivalries. Sole units underfoot don’t partake in any vibrant color scheme, but still make a statement with their plump Airbag at the heel.
