International Flight Air Jordan 3 to release on June 30th
Air Jordan 3, Inspired by Michael Jordan’s uniform for a 1988 charity game in which he scored 54 points, the Air Jordan 3 Retro “International Flight” sports a patriotic color scheme on an Off-White leather build. Part of the Air Jordan “International Flight” Collection, this Air Jordan 3 is a nod to a charity All-Star game in the summer of 1988, MJ torched his opponents for 54 points in front of a Los Angeles crowd. In a sail, sport royal, light bone, and fire red colorway, this unique model has Jordan’s signature on the left tongue and grey elephant print on the toe.
This 136064-140 Air Jordan 3 “International Flight” was a tribute to Magic Johnson’s Midsummer Nights game in 1988, where Jordan stole the show with 54 points. He wore Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” sneakers and a blue and white uniform during the game, and all of those colors are referenced in the sneaker. Sport Royal accents grace the branding of Jumpman’s eyelets, midsole, and embossed heel, while Fire Red’s contrasting marks stand out on the back midsole section and Jumpman’s logo on the tongue, with Michael Jordan’s signature on the right. The Jordan elephant print signature on the toe and heel is rendered in light gray on the leather overlays.
2020 Jordans, Suddenly blue makes an appearance on the Nike Swoosh logo while also appearing on the Nike Air branded tongue labels. A white Air midsole and rubber outsole are placed underneath and finish off the new sleek makeover. In 2018 Jordan Brand presented the “International Flight” pack, featuring three retro models inspired by exhibition and charity games Michael Jordan played during his career.
