Silva’s contract at Manchester City expires in 2025 and the club could ask for around €80m to release him in any possible exit due to his continued value to Guardiola’s plans in Manchester. However, according to the Daily Mirror, City have no plans to accept an offer for Silva despite rumours of a meeting between his agent Jorge Mendes and Barcelona president Laporta. Guardiola has reassessed his team options ahead of the 2022/23 season and the Catalan coach does not want any further exits before the season starts next month.
