Carmine Air Jordan 6 to release sometime in 2021
Next year will be the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 6, as well as Michael Jordan’s first of six NBA championship rings. And in a similar vein to the latter, the latest to boil to the surface is word on a 2021 edition of the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine.” Fittingly revisited after Travis Scott took up the silhouette, the model is likely to receive every one of its original details: reds and whites comprising the majority of the smooth leather upper. Tooling surely unchanged, though possibly improved internally in secret, its likely to cross every box on the OG checklist, even the “Nike Air” logo hit on its heel.
The Retro Jordan has a large legion of fans inside and outside of the basketball world, namely for its classic “Infrared” home and away editions. Rumors indicate that Jordan Brand could be planning to bring back the “Carmine” Air Jordan 6 to celebrate. Special collaborations, as well as fan-favorite retro colorways have been brought back for all three silhouettes, so it shouldn’t be any different for the Air Jordan 6 next year. The return of the Air Jordan 6 Carmine was one that sneakerheads have been waiting for since the last retro back in 2008. The sneaker was sought out by everyone then and it was sought again this time around.
