Brand New Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “Cave Stone” Sneakers
During Air Max 270, Following the tragic loss of eight lives at the Astroworld Festival on November 5th, the future of Travis Scott‘s five-pair Nike Air Max 1 collaboration is uncertain. Yet, new images of the sneakers have recently appeared, with the latest batch highlighting the collection’s “Off Noir/Cave Stone/Dusty Sage/Celadon” colorway. As previously-seen mock-ups suggested, the upcoming sneakers feature a predominantly-muted arrangement that allows for some accents to shine. This variation of the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 offers muted tones of blue and grey suede, with a complimentary white ripstop fabric and “Cave Stone” detailing.
Unlike the aforementioned offerings, this Nike Air Max 1 rids of the earthy tones and gravitates towards cooler hues.Sole units and the nubuck mudguard right above them indulge in a tonal “Off Noir” makeup that complements the grey “Cave Stone” mesh base well. Mismatched profile swooshes follow suit, with the lateral side’s reveling in Scott’s affinity for backwardness. Leather panels at the mid-foot and along the tongue deviate from the aforementioned dullness in favor of a slightly more animated “Dusty Sage” hue, while new Cactus Jack-branding on the same-colored tongue boast a disparate “Celadon” tone.
The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 Baroque Brown is inspired by the ACG Pocket Knife, as a drawstring Gillie lacing system, custom nubuck and mesh-patterned overlays on the upper recall the classic style. An ecru-esque tone covers a majority of the upper’s real estate here as it cascades over the mesh base, medial side overlays and the textured Swoosh logos which are placed in reverse fashion on the lateral side and in its traditional shape on the medial. Its titular shade covers the interior lining as well as the overlays on the heels and around the toe box, while a caramel-like hue outfits the mid-foot overlay on the lateral wall.
