Jordan Release 2020, Joining the Air Jordan 1 Low, the Air Jordan 5 Low will also be part of Jordan Brand’s annual Chinese New Year (CNY) collection with another special-edition offering for the holiday. As we enter the new year, Jordan Brand is looking to start the year off strong with the upcoming Air Jordan 5 Low “Chinese New Year” colorway. The premium low-top is all about storytelling with a tearaway canvas upper, a sail hue with red detailing, and a colorful box. Graphic insoles atop an aged translucent outsole along with a special designed box are also part of the shoe’s design.
This Air Jordan 5 comes dressed in a Sail, Chile Red, Opti Yellow, and Pearl White color combination. Furthermore, the pair comes with a tear-away upper in Sail that, once removed, will display a colorful pattern on the base. Bright red accents adorn the shoe on the eye stay, sock liner, and midsole, while special patches appear behind the tongue as well as on the heel. Capping off the look is a sail midsole with a translucent outsole. Aside from the tear-away upper, other unique details include the banner logos on the heel and behind the tongues, the word “ACTION” displayed on the medial netting along with added text that can also be seen.
The Air Jordan 5 Low Chinese New Year is a special iteration of the model equipped with plenty of distinct features. Done in an official color scheme listed as Sail/Chile Red-Opti Yellow-Pearl White, this Air Jordan 5 Low starts off with a Sail tear-away canvas upper revealing a colorful pattern print underneath. Next, we have “ACTION” on the medial netting along with additional text. Another new addition is the badge style logos on the heel and inside of the tongues. Red adorns the eyelets, Jumpman on the tongue, liner, and shark teeth on the midsole, while Black covers the top of the tongue. Lastly, the pair features a unique graphic on the insoles, Sail midsole, and a translucent aged rubber outsole.
