New Jordan 2020, The origins of the Nike Dunk can be traced back to the early ’80s, when high school basketball was gaining popularity and appealing to the masses. The idea for the Dunk came to Nike when a sales rep came to watch the NCAA quarterfinals in 1985, when Nike was the main sponsor of all 4 teams. Nike then wanted to design a brightly colored sneaker that would not only match the uniforms of the players but also the fans. Since then, the Nike Dunk has come a long way, and today the sneaker has become a streetwear “must have” for skateboarding, collectibles, and pop culture ties. The upcoming version will feature a white leather upper with overlays and surrounding lining. Other details include a black Nike Swooshes logo and laces, and a white nylon tongue. Additionally, the branding appears on the tongue label, and “NIKE” is embroidered on the heel and back of the lining. Elevating the shoe is a white midsole and contrasting grey rubber outsole.
Retro Jordan 2021, The shoe features a white upper and is also dressed in vibrant royal blue and red hues. The shoe’s Nike Swoosh logo, midsole logo and heel tab will be highlighted in red, while a white midsole completes the classic look. The overall design of this upcoming release is very simple as it is based on two neutral shades. On the upper section, the white hue will cover the toe box, collar, as well as the inner lining and tongue. To create a subtle yet effective contrast, Nike’s design team applied black accents to the Nike Swooshes, laces, and branding on the tongue and heel. Finally, the midsole and outsole will be finished in an angelic hue.
