2022 Nike Air Force 1 Low “Roman Empire” Release Date
Air Max 270, Nike, even in just their name alone, has loose ties to Greek mythology. In the past, the goddess they took inspiration from has seen her very own shoe, which has likely inspired this upcoming Air Force 1 in one way or another.Roman mythos, takes the helm here; and while influenced by the Greeks in many ways, its replete with its own rich culture. A far cry from a history lesson, this Air Force 1 purely mimics the empire’s color and regal sense.
2022 is the 40th anniversary of Bruce Kilgore‘s iconic Nike Air Force 1 silhouette. To celebrate the occasion, Nike is set to release a range of new limited-edition AF1s including this upcoming premium model dressed in Roman details.similar to the Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Paris,” the pairs take a subdued approach, offering subtle details hinting at the city in reference.Uppers are found in white tumbled leather with burgundy patent leather lateral swooshes and overlays. The white tweed tongue features a logo patch with a gold Roman bust motif and “Air Force 1” text in Roman typeface. Below, a pre-yellowed rubber sole unit completes the look.
