After playing around with the Air Jordan 9 blocking last winter with a multicolor boot version of the sneaker, Jordan Brand is set to deliver another colorful take on the model this season, and this time it’s taking a more traditional approach. During the mid-90s, Jordan Brand took Nike’s iconic “Just Do It” slogan and put their own spin to it by turing it into “Dream It, Do It” for an apparel collection.
Jordans 2019 Cheap is coming at us with a new colorway of the Air Jordan 9 for the Spring of 2019. Taking inspiration from Jordan’s Just Do It-inspired “Dream It, Do It” tagline from the ’90s, this style takes on an appropriately vibrant mix of purple, teal, and yellow, each of which make up the segmented mudguard and heel overlays. Dressed in Black, University Red, and Dark Concord color scheme. This Air Jordan 9 features a Black leather upper highlighted with Teal, Orange, and Purple riding up the mudguard and onto the heel. The classic “Dream It, Do It” label is used on the tongue to give off that vintage vibe.
Retro Jordan, The “Dream It, Do It” Air Jordan 9 comes decked out in a totally 90s color scheme that could easily be mistaken for a Cross-Color collab. Inspired by ’90s-era Nike graphics and apparel, this AJ9 mixes black with a color-blocking mudguard that wraps all the way around from the toe, to the heel and up to the ankle collar. The rest of the sneaker is built with a black leather upper and a rather simple white and red outsole, while the original “Dream It, Do It” logo appears on the woven tongue tag. The tongue brings the theme together as we see the “Dream It, Do It” logo while a black midsole and white rubber outsole complete the look.
