As a part of its spring releases, New Air Jordans 2019 will commemorate skate culture with a special trio of Air Jordan 1 Lows. Basketball wasn’t the only sport that welcomed the Air Jordan 1 with open arms and the forthcoming batch shares an appreciation for skate culture and its community. This Air Jordan 1 comes dressed in a Sail, Gym Red, University Gold and Black color combination. What most will notice is that this pair features the “Black Toe” theme. Featuring a build of suede and leather, Black wraps the toe, tongue, laces, Swoosh and liner. Sail then covers the panels, toe and midsole while Red hits the brand and University Gold covers the heel and outsole to complete the look.

Since its debut in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 has elevated itself atop the industry as the most coveted sneaker on the market. While its original high-top construction is understandably the most revered, its other builds manage to draw acclaim as they are still integral parts of the Jumpman’s first chapter.

Constructed in suede in a mix of suede and leather with Black on the tongues, laces, Swoosh and toe overlay. Finishing off the design is a Sail underlay, Red branding on the tongues and Gold wrapping the heel and rubber outsole. Each model sees slightly wider uppers along with added padding around the ankle areas. In addition, some logos are shifted around with Air Jordan 1’s “WINGS” insignia being added to the heel instead of the tongue.
